Instructions

How to Make Shrimp and Steak Fried Rice

Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

    • Slice the steak thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.

    • Season the shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.

    • Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper in a small bowl to create the sauce.

Step 2: Cook the Proteins

    1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.

    1. Add the steak slices and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

    1. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.

Step 3: Scramble the Eggs

    1. Lower the heat to medium and add a bit more oil if necessary.

    1. Pour the beaten eggs into the skillet and scramble until just set. Push to one side of the pan.

Step 4: Stir-Fry the Vegetables

    1. Increase the heat to high again.

    1. Add the garlic, onions, and mixed vegetables to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and slightly tender.

Step 5: Add the Rice

    1. Add the day-old rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps with your spatula.

    1. Stir-fry the rice with the vegetables for 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Step 6: Combine Everything

    1. Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet, along with any juices they released.

    1. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss to combine, ensuring the rice and proteins are evenly coated.

    1. Stir in the green onions and cook for another minute.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

Transfer your Shrimp and Steak Fried Rice to a serving dish, garnish with extra green onions if desired, and serve hot.
